The Social Services Bachelor's Program at Istanbul Aydın University aims to train social work experts who are sensitive to social problems, have ethical values, and are solution-oriented. The program provides students with comprehensive training in areas such as social policy, social work methods, human rights, child and family welfare. For international students, studying social work in Turkey offers the opportunity to get to know different cultures and gain international experience.
The program curriculum includes theoretical courses as well as practical studies. Students gain field experience by doing internships in social service institutions. The curriculum covers topics such as social service theories, social policy analysis, social research methods, crisis management, working with disabled individuals, working with the elderly, and combating substance abuse.
Graduates of the Social Services program have various career opportunities in the public and private sectors. Graduates can work as social work experts in hospitals, schools, municipalities, non-governmental organizations, rehabilitation centers, orphanages, nursing homes, and prisons.
