The curriculum of the Social Services Bachelor's program is designed to train students as professionals who are sensitive to current social issues, capable of critical thinking, and committed to ethical values. The program includes core courses such as Introduction to Social Work, Social Policy, Human Behavior and Social Environment, Social Research Methods, Social Work Theories, and Interview Techniques in Social Work. In addition, specialized field courses such as Child Protection, Elderly Welfare, Disability Rights, Migration and Refugees, and Addiction Combat enable students to deepen their areas of interest and expertise. Students have the opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and gain real-world experience through fieldwork, internships, and volunteer activities. The language of instruction is Turkish, and Turkish language courses are also available for international students.
Graduates of the Social Services department have a wide range of career opportunities. They can work as social service specialists in public institutions (Ministry of Family and Social Services, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health), local governments, non-governmental organizations (associations, foundations), the private sector (human resources, corporate social responsibility), hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, and international organizations.
